Spike is Back! Pick up a Pen!

Comic legend Spike Milligan always broke conventions and made up his own rules, and he's doing it again. In a bold and unprecedented venture, the makers of a new documentary about Spike are taking their show on the road down the east coast of Australia in August and September. Led by a life-size doll of Spike, the tour includes radio broadcasts, a live show featuring Spike's eldest daughter Laura and musician Glenn Cardier who toured with Spike, and a new documentary film.

Rocklea (Bris) Brothers St Brendans - 28 August

Rocklea. The landlord gave us a great welcome with fruit platter, champagne and beer... we'd all like to say thank you. After the show, I sat down and talked to Spike fans for 45 minutes. They didn't want to leave. There was Paul who came all the way from Gympie... then went back again. Got to go and help pack the van. See you in Coffs Harbour. Day off tomorrow. We'll be talking to Phillip Adams on Radio National tomorrow night. PS. Paul asked me to sign one of his Goon Show CDs and I wrote, "Dear Paul, where's my 50 pounds?"
