Spike became a patient of hypnotherapist Dr. Joseph Robson and they became friends. (Spike saw Robson throughout his life and Jane Milligan is still in contact with his wife, Charlotte Robson. She is one of the people we will talk to about Spike’s ‘madness’. Spike later assisted Joe’s son, Jeremy, to publish the first collection of Goon Show scripts. The Robson family are Jewish and frequently squirmed at Spike’s anti-Semitic jokes.)
