Spike published “A Dustbin of Milligan” and was cast in two MGM films, “Invasion Quartet” (“desperately unfunny”) and “Postman Knock”. Spike met Patricia Ridgeway (Paddy) and asked her out. She was a singer and actress, and was appearing in the London stage production of “The Sound of Music”.
