The father

When his children were young, Spike enthralled them with stories about a witch, which he drew on a little blackboard in their room. In 1973, her turned these stories and his sketches into a book, which he titled "BadJelly the Witch". It is a classic fairytale full of weird and wonderful surprises, good triumphing over evil, and the defeat of BadJelly the Witch – 'the baddest witch in the world'.

Spike also used to write tiny, tiny letters 'from the fairies' and hide them in the garden.

He also wrote them many, many letters from himself and here is a collection of them...
