Milligan's Cave
While Beverley actually discovered the cave, it was Spike's
high profile support of its preservation that ensured it
was protected from vandalism and environmentally managed.
Today, the cave attracts thousands of visitors every year.
As a local conservationist notes, "If you're good
at writing letters, and if you’ve got a name like
Spike, then people read the letters and you manage to do
something about getting it protected. In fact there are
several sites that I know of round Sydney - all of which
are called Milligan's Cave."
